Myth buster:

1. Certain types of paving are “weed free”

2. Weeds grow up through the paving

Firstly there is no such thing as a weed free surface! Over time weeds will grow on any neglected surface where detritus is allowed to accumulate. Secondly when properly constructed, weeds do NOT grow through paving, weeds grow into paving, by colonising the sand filled joints or settling in cracks where detritus has accumulated.

But weeds are not the only problem! Moss, algae and lichen also thrive in our damp climate.

By using the techniques of pressure washing and softwash, DM external cleaning can prepare your garden patio for those summer BBQ’s. We also provide further Autumn maintenance, removing fallen leaves and applying a biocide that will protect and reduce deterioration over the winter months.
